My name is Mr. Carroll and I am the
Art Teacher at Rush Intermediate
School. Although this is my first
year as a full time teacher at Rush,
it is not my first time teaching in
Cinnaminson. In fact, I have taught
at Rush twice before as a long term
substitute teacher.
I graduated from Rowan University
with a degree in Fine Art and
concentration in Graphic Design. I
worked as a Graphic Designer before
entering education. Although I
enjoyed the challenge of being a
graphic design I yearned for the
challenges and creativity of being a
teacher.
In addition to being a passionate
artist and teacher I am also a
family man. I have a wonderful wife
(Mrs. Carroll works at the High
School) and a gorgeous baby daughter
named Rose. Rose was born March 20,
2007. I also have a dog. He is a
greyhound and we adopted him after
his racing career was over. His name
is Nitro Crash, but we just call him
Crash.
This year in art
class we will be working on a number
of great projects. We will be using
materials like clay, oil pastels,
chalk pastels, markers, color
pencil, charcoal, and of coarse
paint. I can’t wait to see the
students’ work. I am always amazed
to see the creativity of the
students come forth in their
projects. As Picasso once said,
”Every child is an artist.” By the
way, the student’s latest projects
are hung in the hallways of Rush all
throughout the school year. So stop
by Rush sometime and admire the
beautiful artwork |
