Miss Dora Shoturma, the Spanish teacher at the Eleanor Rush Intermediate School, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. In 2002, her adventures of teaching Spanish began at New Albany Elementary. Miss Shoturma was brought up to appreciate her strong Ukrainian heritage. She first learned to speak Ukrainian and later learned English. This love of diverse cultures brought her to further study a third language- Spanish. She lived for one year in beautiful Spain where she studied at the University of Seville. Currently, Miss Shoturma takes up Ukrainian dance, film and photography. She is excited to begin yet another adventurous year at Rush School.
