COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

 CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY GIFT SHOP – Inexpensive gift items are bought for the kids to do their holiday shopping. 5^th and 6^th grades handle this event, Kate Latimer, chair, looking for a new chair next year.

 CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES – Gifts donated by WFS families are given to Emergency Services.

 HOLIDAY BUS TRIP – this year Radio City Music Hall, Monday, December 18^th, Deb Haines, chair.     

 BOOK FAIR: Date, Wednesday, November 8^th.  Fall & spring book fairs with Barnes & Noble.  Parent volunteers to represent WFS for ½ shifts. (20% of all purchases go to our school).  Darlene Fleming, chair

 Parent Council Officers: Even Heitzman is our clerk for 2006-2007; Dawn Fordyce is our Co-clerk for 2006-2007; Deb Haines is our Secretary. :  Rhonda Cates is our Treasurer

 GIFT WRAP SALE:  Responsible for distribution and collection of Inns brook Gift Wrap brochures, as well as arranging for the pick-up of orders.  Diane Graham & Joann Muhr are chairing, call to be a part of the team.

 GRADE LEVEL ROOM PARENT:  Collects dues for class gifts and parties, and handles the Telephone Activity Reminder Chain for school closing and special events.   Francine Hogan, coordinator

 HOLIDAY CRAFT, BAKE, PLANT, and GIFT SALE – JUST the place to both donate and buy your holiday gifts items 7^th and 8^th grades handle this event.

 *INTERNET/ENEWS CHAIR:  Bill Graham is responsible for updating our WFS E–NEWS, up to the minute information.  

 *LEAFY BRANCH GAZETTE:  all writers, columnists and artists welcome for WFS monthly school newsletter.

 MOVIE NIGHTS - three scheduled nights, (1) one for Pre-K – 2^nd and (2) two for 3^rd through 5^th grade. Duties includes movie an appropriate movie selection, pizza set up and clean up.

 ROLLER SKATING NIGHT: Sunday Nov. 5, 2006. Details to follow

 6^th, 7^th, 8^th GRADES DANCES – Parent Council hosts this fun filled get together.  Volunteers always welcome to join the fun.  Dates are November 17, 2006, February 16, 2006, and June 1, 2007.

 SCHOOL MERCHANDISING:

 APPAREL CHAIR:  Kris Propp designs all WFS T-shirts, sweatshirts etc. orders.   

 NON-APPAREL CHAIR:  (This is new!!!)   Would manage the sale of WFS merchandise (bracelets, note cards, post cards, etc.) at events throughout the year. Ideas and concepts always welcome.

 THANKSGIVING FOOD COLLECTION/ DELIVERIES – food is collected and delivered to needy local families.

 MOTHER/SON NIGHT – plan this special night, new ideas???? Always welcome.

FATHER/ DAUGHTER NIGHT- whether is a dance, a dinner, or a show; help plan a great night out.

 WELCOMING FAMILY:  Chris Fennell and Wendy Kleir chair this committee to answer questions for new families.
