Middle School Nurse Christine Hawryluk received her BSN from Rutgers University and her MEd from The College of New Jersey. She is a life member of the Palmyra Ambulance Association.   Throughout the school year, Ms. Hawryluk collects soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Camden. She also collects donations for the animal rescues and shelters [blankets, towels (NO sheets), bath rugs, collars, leashes, dry dog and cat food (open bags acceptable), toys, pet brushes and combs, dog/cat crates, dog beds, dog/cat shampoo, rabbit food and water bottles, etc.] Donations for either cause can be dropped off anytime during the school year.
Medication forms and physical forms can be downloaded off the CMS website. The nurse can administer medication ONLY if the medication permission form is filled out by the student’s physician. This includes over the counter medications. The nurse cannot administer medication with only the parent’s permission.
8th graders should submit a physical to the nurse’s office. Please schedule early as doctor’s office appointments fill up quickly over the summer.
