The fifth graders are completing their unit on
measurement and are ready to start working on adding,
subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and mixed
numbers. Our measurement test is tentatively scheduled for
April 2nd.
Fourth grade students have been
estimating and multiplying two and three digit numbers by two
digit numbers. Next, they will be studying mixed numbers
and adding and subtracting fractions with like and unlike
denominators. Their test on multiplication by two numbers
is also tentatively scheduled for April 2nd.
On April 3rd, a timed
multiplication quiz on the 100 facts will be given to my third
graders. Then, we can begin studying our division
facts. We will play Around the World flash card
games, use holey cards, and wrap-ups. On weekends, the
students have their wipe-off sheets to study. Because of
fact families, we already know many of the division facts.
